An Open Letter Revealed

Hello, again. I wanted to jump in here and let you know that there’s plenty going on behind the scenes. I’ve been creating more prints as I’ve been able. I contacted the president of the Peak’s Addition about a week ago and, today, the president of the Swiss Avenue Historic District. Starting a dialog about the project is my main goal.

I know this is an ambitious project — I’m the one doing it, after all. But I believe I can finish at least the first “phase” on the Historic District by the annual Tour of Homes on Mother’s Day.

Having some help and cooperation from homeowners, carriage house residents, and association leadership would be most helpful, however.

If you’re a homeowner and you can share some of the history of your or your neighbor’s homes in brief 80-100 word descriptions, life would be so good. If you’re not a writer, I can help you. Let’s put our heads together.

I’m planning to start adding photos of the people I meet as I shoot the homes on Swiss Avenue in the next week or so. If you’re out and about, say hello and let me photograph you for the project. Be part of Dallas’ history.
